So let's have a look at what happened yesterday that forced me to write this article for all of us. !!!π
Yesterday, I was traveling with my cousin to one of his relatives house to help him with some of his online payments. And like every Indian home, we were greeted with a hot cup of Tea ☕️. That was quite soothing for us because it was very cold outside and a cup of tea can always make mind more energetic and peaceful!! One of the interesting thing about Uncle is that he is more than 80 years old and he is retired officer of Indian Railways and he had a career which is always praised by everyone.π
In the beginning, the conversation was mostly focused on talking about different chit-chat topics that often takes place in Indian homes. But after some time we ended up talking about future of our country and how it has changed in past 70 years after independence.
Generally, listening such things from an elderly person can be quite boring for anybody. But when you will find someone so experienced as well as insightful, who is sharing his life experience then definitely it’s going to be an interesting session for you. One of the very small thing he told me that striked my mind was the fact that today’s generation is not enjoying many of the things that were enjoyed earlier in the past.
Well in a generation full of technology and innovation, an argument like this looks very invalid but I can prove his point with an example.
Just you can take the case of vegetables we are consuming these days.
If you focus on the past you will find that people were eating fresh and pesticides free vegetables. π± But in today's era, if you will not provide pesticides and other insect killers to the plants, then they might end up dying. It looks like today's generation is focusing on making profits by ignoring the long-term harmful effects that their decisions can make on the society.π
I'm very sure that few of you must be finding some of the points mentioned before as irrelevant but if you will think more about it, you will find that this is something that has always been around us, and we were not focusing on it.π
Well, we cannot completely rule out the point that today's youth is not aware about the dangers we are going to face in the future.π€
During the COVID-19 pandemic, there was a joke that with the help of Lockdown and stoppage of the traffic for few days, you might end up seeing Eiffel Tower from New Delhi !!!
HaHaHa!!π€©
But That joke was all related to air pollution around us.π₯²
Well, at the end I will not talk about something I'm telling you from past few minutes, but I will just say to you that there are few things which never come to our brains but play a very crucial role in our lives. ✊π»
“We should be thinking about these things, but we are not thinking about them.”
And that's the cruel reality. π
Being a youth of 21st century, it's my duty and its duty of everyone around me to think about future and to act accordingly.
So let's end this article with a promise that I will come up with something more interesting next time.
And of course, comments are free of cost and are always welcomedπ€
Untill next time, take care and goodbye.
